Reflection Letter

Dear Mr. Hoering,

The book called “A Child Called It” by Dave Pelzer is a great book it’s about the author himself   growing up going thru his mother’s beatings and abusive relationship, she’d make him go to school smelling really bad that was her way to humiliate him She would never say anything about his bad smell because she didn’t care what so ever. The character I really dislike in this book called “A Child Called It.” Is the mother because she’s just an abusive cold hearted person, I feel this way because of the way she treated her son Dave thru out his childhood because he actually didn’t really have a childhood because he was more like his mother’s slave like she would refer to him as out of all her children she’d treat Dave really bad and she’d treat her other sons better than him. Out of all the books I’ve ever read I think this one is like the best one because it’s actually based off of a true story which is his childhood and him telling us readers everything he was going thru and the struggles, etc. I would totally recommend this book to anyone I don’t care who but I would sit there and tell that person that they HAVE to read this great book I think it’ll touch some people’s hearts . Honestly I think that I really enjoyed reading this book which is very surprising for me to say about a book I kind of think that my reading habit is changing more and more because I remember when I used to HATE reading like I would probably read one word out of a book and not be interested at all but I really feel a difference in my reading I’m actually starting to love reading (<< it was a struggle to write that part). Something that’s really surprising me is how long I’m reading without stopping. I think I’ve meet my reading goal because I was challenging myself to read without stopping I’ve also challenged myself to finish a book without putting it back or giving up. I think I met my goal because I kept reading the book and gave it a chance and I actually found a book that really caught my attention.
